We are a division of Brookfield Asset Management Inc., a global asset manager focused on property, renewable power and infrastructure assets, with over $100 billion of assets under management.

Our portfolio consists of operating lines in residential real estate, global relocation services, home valuations, move programs and related services, and technology platforms that add value for our customers. Today, our companies include: Brookfield Global Relocation Services, Brookfield Real Estate Services, Royal LePage Real Estate Services, Real Living Real Estate, Johnston & Daniel, Via Capitale, Centract and Homeserve Technologies.

We believe that residential property services are local businesses, best managed and delivered by local experts and entrepreneurs. Our goal is to bring business volumes, leading services, technology and best practices to the local service providers that we partner with and the constituents that we serve.

Doubling Our Size – In Just Two Years

We are a team of disciplined and creative deal makers who have leveraged decades of experience as strong, agile financial managers to become a global force. Since 2008, Brookfield Residential Property Services has nearly doubled in size as we have carried out an ambitious and carefully timed international expansion.

In just two years we have expanded our portfolio of companies through merger and acquisition activities including:
  • The acquisition of Quebec-based real estate franchise system Via Capitale, which significantly increased our market share in that province;
  • The acquisition of Illinois-based GMAC Home Services, which includes GMAC Real Estate and GMAC Global Relocation Services, which created a platform for long-term North American and international growth;
  • The merger of our Royal LePage Relocation Services business unit with GMAC Global Relocation Services to form Brookfield Global Relocation Services, which created the second-largest provider of global relocation services in the world; and
  • The acquisition of Ohio-based Real Living, a leading and innovative real estate franchise network, which added almost 2,000 additional real estate professionals to our network, and which when merged in 2010 with GMAC Real Estate under the Real Living brand, will create one of the largest real estate networks in the U.S.
The GMAC Home Services acquisition also gave us a presence in Europe and Asia, and we have further grown our international footprint this year by adding offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, India as well as Brisbane, Australia. Focused on profitable growth, we continue to leverage our parent company’s strong international presence and resources to evaluate new international markets best suited for further expansion.
